Ahasuerus - A Type of The World

 

I. 127 Provinces (1:1).

II. The world loves to show off (1:3-4).

III. The world embraces the idea of public drunkenness, and follow-up immorality (Chap. 1).

[1]. The world discards spouses for the most incidental of reasons.

IV. The world is anxious to promote the Superstar… (Haman).

V. The world is influenced by unseen forces (Chap. 6 Verses Chap. 3) - the battle is in the spiritual dominion, that's why prayer is so essential.

A. (3:1) - Princes = Principalities (Eph. 6).

B. (6:1-3) - God wakes people up.

VI. The world's favorite way to conclude a matter is to have a drink (3:15).

VII. The world occasionally does something right (Chap. 6), but it doesn't set aside the bigger picture.

VIII. Someday the world is going to get it right (10:2).
