"My duties
as President of the United States have just begun. I want to
justify the will of the people. And the people know that it is impossible to rightly govern
without God and the Bible." The Bible is a library containing 66 books. It is divided into two sections known as The Old Testament (39 books) and The New Testament (27 books).The Bible was written by 40 different authors, from 3 different continents; over a period of 1600 years. The Bible is The Foundation for All Truth!! The main theme of the Bible is The Lord Jesus Christ.
Down through the ages, Satan has done his best to convince man that the Bible is nothing more than a collection of writings with no more value than the proverbial Sears catalog on the outhouse wall. The Bible, by its very design, shows that this is not the case. No other book is able to do what the Word of God does . . . tell the future with 100% accuracy. Isaiah 41- 21. Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. 22. Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. 23. Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together. Isaiah 45- 20. Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. 21. Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. When
Jesus Christ came to earth the first time, he fulfilled over
33 prophecies about his first coming all in one shot. There
are over 500 prophecies about his second, that have yet to
be fulfilled. Just as sure as the other prophecies came to
pass, so will the
rest.
The Inspiration of the Bible 2 Peter 1- 20. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Hebrews 4- 12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Preservation of God's Word Psalm 12- 6. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 119- 89. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalm 138- 2. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
