Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim. 2:15

CAPITAL PUNISHMENT

By Randy Rogers

Through out history, most of society has been "for" Capital Punishment. It has only been in the last 100 or so years, when the Liberal philosophy began to raise its ugly head; that many parts of society have questioned this "God Ordained" form of punishment.

While criminals run rampant in the streets, jails are over flowing, and society cries out for protection from these vile people; the do-gooders, are trying to keep these people from getting the "JUST" punishment they rightly deserve.

There is a cry of ..."foul", from the camp of these Love everybody, do-gooder, bleeding- heart liberals, who think that Capital Punishment is not civilized. They are always worried about whether the murderer that is put to death, suffered undo harm. They want to know if the form of punishment was "safe and effective", so the criminal didn't have to suffer. These people give no thought as to how the victim suffered at the hands of these thugs.

A sure sign that society has become perverted and twisted in its' thinking is ... when it is more worried about a criminal "suffering" while getting put to death for his (her) actions, than they are for the victims of these nar-do-wells.

The big thing now is the "Insanity Plea", which is another tactic for trying to keep these murderers from paying the ultimate price for their crimes against society. Granted, to commit murder is a sure sign that you are insane, but that gives you no excuse to commit murder. God does not recognize this "Insanity Plea", and you will see that in the scriptures below.

Now then, let us look at what the Almighty has to say about "Capital Punishment", and see just where these liberals need to head in.

Capital Punishment is mentioned before the Law, under the Law, and after the Law in this dispensation that most Christians call, The Dispensation of Grace.

God tells you in Genesis that to commit murder is punishable by "death".

Gen.9:5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

6. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

After Cain killed Abel, God warns man of this punishment in the early part of man's history. You just read it in the above verses. A man that kills another man is to be put to death ... by man!

Along comes Moses and the children of Israel, in bondage as slaves in Egypt for 400 years. God sets them free, but gives them some guidelines as to how they are to conduct themselves. These guidelines are known as the 10 commandments. These 10 commandments, if followed will point a man to Jesus Christ, while at the same time, keep them from further bondage and punishment from God.

Not only are these commandments for Israel, but the Gentiles will be judged as to whether they kept them or not, themselves. See the verse below:

Rom. 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15. Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16. In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Even the Gentiles don't get away from the Law.

The fourth commandment is ... "THOU SHALT NOT KILL". This commandment is under the Law and has to do with "murder" and not "war". When Jesus Christ is speaking to a man about getting eternal life, he gives him the commandments and when he comes to the "THOU SHALT NOT KILL" commandment, he gives the exact meaning as - "THOU SHALT DO NO MURDER"! This shows you what God meant when he said, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL", and he is not talking about "WAR".

Matt. 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness...

Have you ever wondered why the atheists were able to get the 10 commandments and Bible reading thrown out of public schools and government offices? It goes way beyond the separation of church and state issue. Kick God and his commandments out and you can run the show without your conscience getting pricked by what you read. This will only lead to a society that hates what is right and becomes degenerate. Then after all of the fruits of their labours start to show up [you reap what you sow], they cry about how there are so many bad people doing bad things. They are the ones which helped create a society that is in chaos. This is what you call freedom without responsibility.

In the book of Numbers, chapter 35, God gives you the guidelines for the Death Penalty and the so-called "Insanity Plea" is not mentioned. What is mentioned however, is Murder with Malice-of-forethought {malicious intent}, and involuntary manslaughter. Nothing is said about the "Insanity Plea". All of these murderers that are getting off based on this unheard of principle, are helping to bring God's judgment on this and other nations. Take a long hard look at those verses and understand what God Almighty has to say about Capital Punishment.

Moving on to the New Testament and Capital Punishment, you will find that Paul also endorses it when he writes:

Acts 25:11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

Again, Paul puts his stamp of approval on Capital Punishment in Romans 13:

Rom. 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

4. For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

5. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

During the tribulation, the Anti-Christ will have people put to death for not worshiping an idol of himself:

Rev. 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Wake up America ... Get civilized and put those murderers to death! Stop listening to those bleeding-heart, gutless liberals that are forcing God's judgment upon America.

Repent of your wickedness!
